Iris Challenge 2014

We had an amazing bunch of Iris Challenge entries this year. Every year, the work just gets better & better!

Participants were to use a specific batik fat quarter.

Here are the amazing results! 

Great job, everyone! Stop in & see these incredible pieces of art at Calico Mermaid.

They will all be on display until June 1.

Many thanks to the Porterville Chamber of Commerce for judging.

And the big winner is Darlene Parker's piece: Flowers Smell Like Rainbows.

Best of the Valley 2014

The Best of the Valley Quilt Show wrapped up another successful show last weekend.

I took a few pics of our customers' best work to share with you. 

I love seeing how our creative quilty friends use our fabric.

This show is completely staffed by local quilt-loving volunteers. They put on an amazing show!
