Road Trip for the Mermaids!

We closed up shop last Sunday & made a quick road trip to Road to California Quilt Show
in Ontario, Ca.

It was a great show, full of fabulous quilts. We all chose our favorites, & were inspired by the awesome talent of quilters from all over.

I think jenny will like this one.

This one is Jen's favorite.

Lynette needs to see these adorable hexies.

I love this - & I'm not really a modern quilter at heart.

Here's our own Becky Haley with her Hoffman Challenge.

 Her work is amazing.

Naturally, all mermaids have to stop for dinner.

Mermaid Road Trip

Last Sunday we closed the shop & took a road trip to Ontario!
We had a blast at the Road to California Quilt Conference & Show.

After hours of walking, looking, searching, & shopping, they were still all smiles.

One of the big highlights was finding the entries of our own Becky Haley.
What an honor to be accepted into the show! I wish these pics were better so you could see the intricate bead work.
She's amazing.

The next big event was our dinner. Yes. We ate it all!
We don't get many chances to be together or just relax together, so we had a great time.

Notice there are more photos of our meal than anything else!

Some of our teachers spent the weekend taking classes & learning lots of new techniques to come back & teach! Watch out for some cool new ideas at the shop this spring.

Road to California Quilt Show

We had a great day at Road to California yesterday. The whole mermaid crew went (we seemed to be a giggle of mermaids) & became newly inspired as we scouted, shopped, gawked, & giggled.

Dion found some cool skull fabric she didn't already have.

Darlene isn't really at the coast - this is an amazing quilt behind her!

Rae Lynne found a Sunbonnet Mermaid.

Richard & Jenn took a lot of pics with their fancy phones.
The quilts were just fabulous. The more we looked, the more we were dazzled. This is the back of a gorgeous underwater mermaid castle quilt.
