We have lots of beautiful quilts down at the Mermaid. Some are class samples, some were made in classes & some are loaned by our wonderful talented friends.

Here's Mary Ann's Flip Flop quilt.

Look at this fabulous cross stitch Susan made
for us!

This is Kathy's Convergence she made
in class with Camelot fabric.

Catching up

It seems like this week has been a time to catch up & relax a little, after our Grand Opening whingding last Saturday.
School is winding down, so I've been busy with the end of the year activities. My Techno Wizard/Stock Room Manager/Bookkeeper is also finishing up his year at the college & enjoying some down time.
Today we'll take down & return some of the gorgeous quilts on display & spend some time on the HandiQuilter Avante & Sweet Sixteen. They are really cool machines.
Even more new fabric arrived this week from Blank Quilting & Lake House. Children's print flannels are in, too.
We're working on scheduling some more challenging classes & some kids' sewing classes as well. If you're local & have some class preferences, let me know. As soon as I finalize the calendar I'll post it on the website & FaceBook page Discussions. If you have trouble finding it, email me & I'll send it to you.

Quilt Show down at the Quilt Shop

Here are a few photos of the gorgeous quilts our local quilters made & graciously allowed me to display for our Grand Opening tomorrow. Aren't they amazing? Our quilters are so generous & talented.

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show

We just returned from an amazing trip to Sisters, Oregon to see the quilt show. The whole town works together to display 1300 quilts. There are quilts on every wall throughout this tiny town of 2000 people! Every organization helps by working and serving food for the jillions of people who come from all over the nation. What an incredible logistical achievement!

Bamboo Jewelry

Bamboo Jewelry is hand crafted cloisonne from recycled silver, packaged in eco-friendly bamboo gift boxes lined with anti-tarnish fabric. This is the world's first carbon neutral jewelry company, designed right here in California.
We'll have several quilt motifs available, as well as birds, butterflies and of course, sea creatures. Let us know if you're interested in something specific.
