My faithful friend, Nancy & I spent our Friday teaching fourth graders to quilt at Butterfield Stage Day. All the fourth graders in the area come to Zalud Park once a year to learn about California History. There were almost 90 stations for them to visit, including Native American Dancers, a Model A to climb on, a working cannon which regularly kept our hearts pumping, & Dutch Oven cooking. Here's our little set up complete with quilt blocks, bed, & quilts to work on.
Some had a little trouble with the wooden hoops.
We taught them to thread a needle, then knot their thread & start stitching.
Great cooperation.
Such concentration!
And close by, here's my favorite gold miner in action.
He's also our set up crew, roadie, & moral support. ;)
