It doesn't seem possible, but...

I can't believe I'm reordering patterns & books & fabric already! Some of the fabric can be reordered, but not all. So I find my evenings after school & shop filled with searching for replacements for all kinds of things!
In addition, I'm keeping my stockboy/chief engineer busy thinking up ways to display the new collections I preordered.
Not that I forgot about those orders...no, not me...heavens no...but now that they're arriving, it's time to find the perfect spot to feature them.
Anna Griffin & Blank Quilting have some mighty pretty pieces!

Catching up

It seems like this week has been a time to catch up & relax a little, after our Grand Opening whingding last Saturday.
School is winding down, so I've been busy with the end of the year activities. My Techno Wizard/Stock Room Manager/Bookkeeper is also finishing up his year at the college & enjoying some down time.
Today we'll take down & return some of the gorgeous quilts on display & spend some time on the HandiQuilter Avante & Sweet Sixteen. They are really cool machines.
Even more new fabric arrived this week from Blank Quilting & Lake House. Children's print flannels are in, too.
We're working on scheduling some more challenging classes & some kids' sewing classes as well. If you're local & have some class preferences, let me know. As soon as I finalize the calendar I'll post it on the website & FaceBook page Discussions. If you have trouble finding it, email me & I'll send it to you.

Grand Opening!

We celebrated our Grand Opening with about 150 friends & family. It was an amazing day, with ribbon cutting, the Jazz Band, the local quilters' beautiful work, 20+ door prizes, & delicious food all day.

Quilt Show down at the Quilt Shop

Here are a few photos of the gorgeous quilts our local quilters made & graciously allowed me to display for our Grand Opening tomorrow. Aren't they amazing? Our quilters are so generous & talented.

Getting Ready!

We're spiffing up the shop for our Grand Opening party on Saturday. I spent this afternoon hanging quilts from some of our talented local quilters. They have done some amazing work. I'll post those pics as soon as I can. Right now I have cookies in the oven for Saturday - gotta go!

Grand Opening!

The prizes are all wrapped up for our Grand Opening celebration. Many of the big fabric companies sent beautiful freebies. The challenge is to wrap them & get them ready for Saturday. We have more than enough to draw a name every hour. No purchase necessary, & we'll call if you win after you leave.
