Porterville College Contemporary Art Quilt Show

The Porterville College Art Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 12 to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Anyone who wants to see the show can get a free parking permit at the information desk (across from admissions and records.)

Cara Gulati's Radiant Suns Class

We were so honored to have Cara Gulati, quilt designer, author, & international teacher here at Calico Mermaid.

 

Cara spent some time discussing color & value.

 

She showed us her methods for sewing curves without pins.

 

Success!

She showed us her finishing methods, binding, flanges, & free motion quilting.

Color placement is very important.





Her trunk show was amazing to see.
